1931」，取材自1931年嘉農棒球隊王牌投手吳明捷在日本甲子園的傳奇姿態。她說：「很高興這座銅像以耐候性與結構安全更高的銅材重新翻製。」修復工作由蒲浩明親自操刀，在維持原有造型比例與細緻神韻下，讓雕像能長久保存。\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>這座雕像於2014年2月22日、配合電影《KANO》在嘉義市首映時揭幕。當時曾舉行封街遊行，由蕭萬長與市民共同見證。十多年來，中央噴水圓環的吳明捷雕像不只看著城市變化，也成為許多棒球迷來到嘉義市時會停留的地標。\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>蒲浩明父子回到熟悉的圓環\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>這次工程中，蒲浩明與兒子、蒲浩明雕塑工作室負責人蒲子超都參與其中。蒲浩明說，他和父親蒲添生成長於圓環附近、有「美街」之稱的成仁街，能再參與嘉義市地標的銅像工作，感到與有榮焉。\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>畢業於台大土木研究所的蒲子超則回憶，12年前設立銅像時，正是他爬上基座勘查情況；如今看見雕像以更好的狀態重返圓環，格外感慨。他提到，女兒曾說吳明捷投手雕像已成為課堂教材，也是台灣百大景點，讓他感到驕傲。其外曾祖父陳澄波過去常在圓環旁寫生，留下多幅噴水畫作，也讓這處場景多了一層傳承意味。\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Ch2>噴水與照明設施同步更新\u003C\u002Fh2>\u003Cp>嘉義市政府建設處長羅資政表示，雕像已依工程進度完成吊裝定位。修繕工程保留中央噴水圓環原有基座，並更新噴水設施、景觀鋪面及照明附屬設施；施工期間將執行交通維持計畫。對每天經過圓環的市民而言，吳明捷投手雕像回來了，接下來可關注工程完工後的正式啟用活動。\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cimg
